On October 22, Jaqlyn visited iKea with his father, step mother, and her 4 brothers, Joey, Jian, Jakob and Joakim, although his nickname preferably used is Jaoi. Jaqlyn was scrimmaging through the grocery area of iKea, when she had realized that customers had been walking out with either their furniture pieces in hand, or furniture in the blue bags purchased from the store. Jaqlyn questioned herself, “Why do you need to purchase yourself a blue bag when the store can simply give away plastic disposable bags?”. Supposedly the reason why iKea doesn’t use disposable plastic bags is because the bags that were once used from iKea could end up somewhere in the ocean, or end up in landfills. iKea is “environmentally friendly”.
Jaqlyn had witnessed people bring their cars to the exits of iKea, and load their cars with the items they had purchased, other than purchasing the plastic reusable bags and loading their items in there. This shows that for sure iKea is an environmentally friendly store. They reduce the use of disposable plastic.
In the cafe of iKea’s store, there has also been sightings of ceramic plates and glass cups, other than the use of plastic plates and cups, and also, the store uses metal silverware. This also proves that iKea is not too big of the use of disposable plastic. Although, in their packaging, there are plastic bags with the screws and nails in them when buying furniture that include so. That must means they indeed use plastic bags, so iKea is trying to lessen down the use of disposable plastic. All in all, iKea is all about lessening the use of disposable plastic. After all, it somehow always ends up in either landfills and/or oceans.I wonder what other oddly satisfying things hold IKEA.
